OMG I'm on The List!

The 4th attempt to get cheap last minute tickets for La Scala opera house, involving two and half hours of queuing in the freezing December morning cold and we made it to The List! We're on The List!! This is seriously the furthest I've ever got to holding Scala tickets. Me and my friends are not there yet, we've still got to go back at half five to "confirm" being on The List, then go back at half seven to collect the tickets and then, providing all has gone well, at 8pm? CARMEN!! - My first ever live opera.

Providing, of course, I can get over that last hurdle, which is presented by the damn dress code. Difficult, considering I have only a wardrobe full of indy student-y clothes. But, I do own a pair of sexy Italian leather boots (that I bought last year with the intention of opera) so... I'll go from there.

I will probably also have to put down the flashing neon sign reading "over-excited" that I've been carrying around with me all day. Just not chic...

Taken my last exam of the year.  Woot!  And for a microeconomics exam it went reasonably well too.  Double woot!

Now I just have to twiddle my thumbs in a fast emptying domitory for a week before flying home for the summer on Saturday.  Drink, anyone?

NOTRE-DAME DE PARIS ROCKED!!!

Especially since, during the interval, we snuck past chatting security men to commondere seats twenty/thirty meters from the front row.  And did I spend 10 Euros on a programme just for all the pretty pictures?  You bet I did!

I'm expecting a red letter from the bank any day now...

OK... Bocconi trys to be down with the kids and so, for written exams, they text us our exam results, although, for the maths exams they put up the solutions to the exams on the internet the day after the exam, so, as long as you remember what you put for the 10 questions, you can work out your grade early.  I did this to work out that I was one question short of passing. 

HOWEVER a few seconds ago I just recieved the exam result text for maths telling me I've passed.  OMG!! WTF??  Don't give me false hope Bocconi messaging service!  Instantly suspiscious, I checked on my "Student Announcements", which also confirms that I passed!  OMG YES!!!

So, did I misremember what I put in my math exam when I was working out my grade?  Did I make a mistake totalling up my marks?  Did I not tally it correctly?

I PASSED WITH MATH SKILLS SO CRAPPY I COULDN''T WORK OUT MY GRADE PROPERLY!!!!!

I'm going home to England tomorrow!!  WOHOO!!  It's been nine weeks since I last set foot on Royal Britinia (my birthday weekend) and now I'm going back for three weeks of Christmas delight :D  At 8:15 tommorow, (If all goes smoothly) I'll be touching down at London Stansted to be smothered with hugs and kisses from my Mum and be sharing an awkward handshake with my Dad.  I can't wait!

Seven days till Christmas and three days untill I finally get my roast beef and Yorkshire pudding fix.  *happy dance*

Tonight is my last night in Milano - celebrating it with Happy Hour and then going down to the English language cinema to see the movie "Changling".  Should be a great, not-to-drunk night.

Ladies and gentlemen, the cold has finally subsided.  Horray!

And guess who has tickets for the AC Milan/Sampdoria match on Sunday?

I HAVE BEEN UNCONDITIONALLY ACCEPTED TO BOCCONI UNIVERSITY!!!!  XDXDXDXD

WOO HOO!!!

And, cause it's an unconditional offer, it means they don't care what I get in my final A2 exams!!!  AWESOME!!
