I was toying with Gimp (Freeware image software) and in the midst of the experimentation created a set of icons all based around the gorgeous Robert De Niro in the "You talking to me" moment of Taxi Driver (one of the greatest movies of all time - watch it if you haven't already).

These are actually my first ever icons and, yes, I totally lacked imagination with the text (and thus lapsed into cliche meme phrases).

Nab as many of your wish, modify them to your hearts content and don't bother crediting me - Scorcesee, DeNiro and the rest of the Taxi Driver crew are the ones who require the credit.  Comments are nice though :3

Tomorrow I'm off to Milan to sit the etrance exam *gulp*.  Am I feeling confident?  Kinda.  I've done some preparation after seeing the type of thing that's on it on the open day.  Mostly random multiple choice maths/grammar/logic questions and then a section on critical reading.  I should be able to spank the critical reading (speaking English as my first language should give me a big advantage) and I did a LNAT (UK law examination to get onto undergraduate courses) practice paper, which is ALL critical reading and scored really well on it.  And for the grammar and maths, I signed up to recieving a US SAT question to my mail box every day, which again I've got pretty good at over the months.  Thus, all should go smoothly...

The only slight set back is that after having to wake up at 3:00am to get on the plane, I may be resembling a brain dead zombie.  If I do, hopefully I'll resemble the aplha zombie that orders the other zombies around and not a maggot ridden corpse that twitches in the corner of the room.

I passed my driving theory test! XD  I got 49/50 on the multiple choice and 54/75 on the hazard perception, so I was dead chuffed.  

On an unrelated note, last night I had a really weird dream.  My brother fell down the stairs and managed to (somehow) slice off both his legs (blood and gore everywhere) and I had to cauterise the wounds.  It sounds horrific, but the whole mood of the thing was strangely whimsical - I was weilding that red hot poker with a smile :P 

Then the dream moved on and I, for some reason, had two wooden legs and was having a driving lesson.  

...

All I remember from that part of the dream is my instructor telling me how my clutch control had improved :P

I had my last skiing lesson last night and so have completed my Bronze Duke of Edinbourgh Award!  Wohoo!  In my "assesors report" they actually put down that I had superb ski skills *blushes with pride*.  Kinda sad though, I'm gonna miss my weekly skiing hour.  But, onwards and upwards...

I just need to complete 3 months (12 hours, once a week) of physical to get my silver award, this time I'm gonna be going for horse riding.  Something I've always wanted to learn how to do and now seems like the perfect time to get started.  A friend recommended a (kinda) close stable, so I'm gonna give them a ring tonight to try and get a quote.  Also, I need to get my butt in gear to start a pysical for my Gold for six months, so, preferablly, something dead cheap.  But, you have to have some kind of instructor and they're not in the way of coming dead cheap.

On the Gold DofE front, our team has to have our 4 day route for our expedition completely finished, by Wednesday next week.  So far, we've been pretty organised about it and have got all the route cards done, it's just the labourious process of the tracings.  Little to say, it's busy, busy, busy at lunch time at school!  

Not to mention the fact that Ive got to have my application for Bocconi sent off by the 30th March - I've got a while, but the earlier I send it off the better.  I've done my online application and I've faxed the details to take the April entrance test.  I've just got to prepare the "dossier" to send off, which includes a CV, school reports (yes, my mum suggested I should alter certain words via photoshop XD), a motivation letter, references, ICT and extra curicullar certificates.  Lot's of stuff to compile in otherwords!  

I was under this strange impression that, after the exams, I would have the time to write and make videos again.  How wrong I was... I think I used to find time by not doing school work, but lately I've fallen into this bad habit of doing homework!

And the cherry on the cake is ICT coursework that will soon need to be in.

And now onto wonderous news! I've made a new word: wonderous I have wireless internet back on my laptop! Wohoo! This means I can now venture into the dark sides of the internet without having to clear the history every 5 seconds; no longer have to fight the siblings for intenet useage against Medieval Total War (dear brother) and Jimmy Marsden fangirl pick ups (dear sister). And, most importantly, it means I don't have to have dad intterogating me on what I've been downloading that could harm the oh so precious dual core family computer.

Ah, having your own self paid for laptop with internet is awesome. And I have a friend's dad to thank.

On Friday, I was round their house having (what became) a 9 hour console trawl and their Dad, on hearing my internet woes, very kindly went to our house, with my dad, and sorted out my connection and WEP key issues. Just awesome!

My faith in the human race has been restored.

I know.  Your staring at your friends page confused.  How can this be, you ask?  The post sounds like Scorpicus, it has Jackks as the name, yet where is the chibi Cloud icon!!

Don't panic.  The apocolypse has not come.  I have in fact, changed my icon set.  Dun, dun, duuuuuuuuuuuuuun!!  No longer do we have chibi Cloud themed icons, but instead a Black Books (most hilarious TV series ever), Final Fantasy and some other things that just looked pretty themed icon set.

O.K, so at the moment there is no theme.  It's just a mix of icons I thought were cool.  No wait, that's the theme!  "Things that Scorpicus thinks are cool!"  Now I just need a "Things that Scorpicus thinks are cool!" mood theme!

Today, my sister was leaving the house to find, dumped in the corner of our front garden, a stick with a bitchy note attached.  The stick was apparently part of a firework that we had let off on Bonfire night along with a few friends.  My Mum was supervising, but supervising soon turned into "supervising" as I was introducing her to vodka martinis that night!

Anyways, on the note it said "A piece of your firework" in very aggresive handwriting "Perhaps you should consider warning locals with pets next time."  For the love of God, it was bonfire night!!  How could they not expect people to set off fireworks!  They didn't sign the note (cowards) but, as they have to live close to our house to be able to see that they were our fireworks and they have to have pets, we've worked out who it must be from.

Personally, I think we should tear off a bit of the note and write on it "A piece of your letter" and underneath "Perhaps you should consider not being kill joys" and post it back to them.  

Dinosaur Website = 5% complete... Geez, this one might take a long time...
